Details of this year's participating synagogues and Jewish sites

September is always Heritage month!

As always, in September 2016 in the UK historic synagogues and some other Jewish sites will be participating in the various national and international Heritage Open Days, the dates of which are given below. Check this page regularly during the summer as the sites opening are announced.



Sunday 4th September

European Jewish Heritage Day (officially called 'European Day of Jewish Culture and Heritage') was launched by the Jewish philanthropic organisation B'nai Brith in Strasbourg in 1996 and in the UK in the year 2000 with assistance from the organisation that became Jewish Heritage UK in 2004. The array of associated events has grown.
